Milășel is a village in Mureș county, in the Transilvanian plain. It belongs to Crăiești town.

Underground there is a massive salt block and on the hilltops around it one can see methane gas extraction points.
Near the road there are some intrestingly wind shaped hights.

Harşia Ioan was born in 1872 in Milăşel.
He attended the first 8 years of school in Blaj, followed by the study of law in Cluj. Was hire as "payed practitian" at the "Tabla Regească" in Târgu-Mureş from 1896 and got his laywer's degree and doctorate in law degree from the University of Cluj.

He settles in Reghin and supports the cultural development of the town. Member of ASTRA since 1902, then secretary, vicepresident and then president, then chief of the Reghin District (1910-1914). Started several cultural angencies for ASTRA and libraries in the villages: Ibăneşti, Râpa de Sus, Râpa de Jos, Idicel, Caşca, Hodac, Teleac, Filpişu Mare, Chiheru de Jos, Chiheru de Sus, Urisiu de Jos and others; makes cultural presentations.
He is founding member of the Greek-Catholic Elementary Teacher's Union, vicepresident of the Regin Comitte to the Society for Romanian Theatre; tried to help found the Society of romanian craftsmen, and member of it since 1912. Is taken prisoner to Russia (as a Transylvanian Romanian volunteer). It was in his house, the headquarters of the Romanian National Council for the Mures-Turda county, where the ideas and then support (for this reagion) for the 1918 unification were drafted. Played an important role in the creation and activity of the Romanian National Council of Mures-Turda; as secretary and member of the C.N.R. from Reghin. He was a member in the Central Electoral Comittee for Mureş-Turda county at the 1919 ellections.
He was member of the People's Party (Partidul Poporului) (1920-1932), National Agrarian Party (Partidul Naţional Agrar) (1932-1935), Christian National Party (Partidul Naţional Creştin) (1935-1938); senator of the Romanian Parliament (1920-1922, 1926-1927); mayor of Tg.Mureş (October 22^nd 1920 - December 22^nd 1922); president of the Mureş County Council; member of the anti-revisionist League; collaborated with Octavian Goga; member of the Comittee for building Avram Iancu's statue in Tg.Mureş (1925); president of the Romanian Youth Society (Societăţii Tinerimea Română) in Reghin (1920-1923); president of the School Comitte for the state Romanian Middle School in Reghin.
He was president of the Administrative Clerk's Association's Mureş section, secretery and then member of the Mureş County Bar, delegate to the Lawyer's Union Superior Council. He published articles in "Glasul poporului", "Glasul Mureşului", "Drum drept".
